Here is a sampling of my drawings and sketches from the Gabriel Prize - Paris France 2001. The Gabriel Prize is sponsored by the Western European Architecture Foundation. This generous prize is for the graphic study of French classical architecture, and sponsors a three-month venue in France drawing and painting, essentially analyzing through graphic means one's subject buildings. My interest was in experiencing first-hand a number of 18th century buildings that Thomas Jefferson deeply admired and that are evident in his letters - as well as a few speculations.
